The primary line of business of our Corporation is the undertaking of pre-feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new power projects in the Province of Ontario and elsewhere. Sound planning of new generating capacity ensures a reliable supply of electricity far into the future. While our specialty is waterpower, we have been engaged in projects dealing with wind, co-generation and other forms of renewable energy. Developing new power generating facilities can be a costly and time-consuming undertaking. It is our contention that it is always better to “spend a penny before spending a dollar”. Good quality pre-feasibility work can give the potential investor a reliable indication of the profitability of a project. It can help him decide it going ahead with it is a wise decision, and when it is, it can help in the dialogue with the lending institution. Expert Energy Group is familiar with the processes leading to the approval of a power project by the various government ministries in Canada. It is also cognizant of the various incentives available to developers of facilities that make use of renewable resources (water, wind).
